JAZZ PROMO SERVICES
GARRY DIAL & TERRE ROCHE/Us An’Them:  If it didn’t have a Roche name on it, you might have no idea what to make of this set.  It took 17 years to bring this from start to finish as Roche and a jazzbo sidekick take national anthems from around the world and give them a jazz/folk/Americana slant as needed. Lots of alt.adult cats you know are on board and the project doesn’t sound anything like you’d expect it to, especially since you don’t know the words to most of it.  A fine treat for those interested in the deliciously offbeat.

SOULFOOD
SOULFOOD/Yoga Groove 2:  DJ Free found a good groove with the first yoga set and brings you back for more as he partners up with a percussionist that knows how to keep the beat neat.  A delightful curve ball for yoga classes looking for something to add to the usual om, this electro/contempo groove outing gets you in the zone without harshing your mellow.  It’s also a pretty dandy trance/chill set for those so inclined.  DJ Free is the hero of alt. adult ears everywhere!

DVD SUPPLEMENT
PARAMOUNT/COMEDY CENTRAL
SARAH SILVERMAN PROGRAM Season 2 Volume 1:  Is she the current pomo Janine Garafolo with a go for it attitude or is she that kind of offbeat cute art chick you wanted to boff but you were weirded out by how strange she was even without huffing Freon?  In any case, the girl most likely to leave you in a bathtub full of ice with one of your kidneys missing is back with 6 more episodes of situational humor that the decidedly offbeat will suck down like Jonestown Kool Aid without Splenda.  A solid serving of the totally nuts ‘what if’ stuff you and your buddies come up with when solving the problems of the world, Silverman saves you the bother of taking things to their illogical conclusions.  Might as well settle in for a trip through Silverman’s back assward world where seeing things in a fun house mirror is only the beginning.

L’IL BUSH Resident of the United States/Season Two-Staying the Courses:   What was begun in season one continues in season two and all the SNL and South Park types have got to be hoping that McCain gets in just so they can keep the satire rolling on the Palin ball.  Another dose of adventures of the Bush administration as Little Rascal/South Park types is loaded with political hilarity as the kids take on  China, swirlies and other contemporary social ills as well turn their gaze to other contemporary figures outside the Bush arena.  Oh dear Lord, what come out of the mouths of babes, even if they are voiced by former producers from “The Simpsons”.  Check it out before it becomes history.

SEVENTH WAVE
SUZANNE CIANI/Natura Poetica:  Back from gift shop land with fresh remastering and upgrading, this groundbreaking collection of nature films set to new age music celebrates it’s 10th anni as something to be discovered all over again.  A player that’s been at the top of her game for longer than a lot of people have been alive, this collection teams with wonder and fun.  Clearly not your typical A&E/PBS nature tour and so much the better.  Gather the kids if you got them and enjoy a first class quality time vid.

SUZANNE CIANI/Galapagos-A Musical Odyssey:  How fitting that we first knew Ciani by name when she came out with her “Waves” album and now we find her taking us off to a place where Blue Footed Boobie run wild.  The deer and the antelope might not play but the penguins, sharks and sea lions mix it up.  If you have any apprecation for first class new age, this vid with music form several of her albums as scores is a laptop killer app as you can bounce back and forth between her screen and your screen as wonderful sounds emanate.  Very much a state of the art alt.adult vid experience.
