SHAHAM-EREZ/Hungarian Dances: If you’re a classical tourist, this record could be a problem. A lot of classical composers wrote a piece also called “Hungarian Dances” but only one is the real Bugs Bunny chase music. This one isn’t it, but if you aren’t a classical tourist, you won’t care and you won’t be disappointed. If you are a classical tourist looking beyond Bugs Bunny, you won’t be disappointed either. This piano/violin duo knows how to play up a storm. With their passion for the material leading the way, this smoking recital is a most enjoyable hour of fine up market entertainment. Check it out.

HOME IMPROVEMENT Complete 8th Season, Final Season: And another TV collection comes to an end as “Home Improvement: wraps it up with this set. A prime time staple of modern times, this popular show ramped it up for the end game with touching parting moments leading up to the end as they leave their home, the kids go their own way and Tim Allen quits his show within a show. Guest starts dropped by like there was no tomorrow (which of course, there wasn’t). All told, even if it isn’t Seinfeld or Lucy, it was etched in the prime time pantheon of family side splitters and gave it it’s all to go out on a high note. A good bet for tv comedy collectors.
ARMY WIVES Complete First Season: Mark Gordon seems to keep himself low profile for a producer of a bunch of hit prime time soaps and here we find him branching out to cable with an evening soaper about the lives of those left behind. Running on Lifetime, where a sudser like this can run freely without guys even knowing it’s on, Gordon has his moves firmly in place as he follows the lives of this mixed cast offering differing perspectives on the same problem, often dealing with age old problems. A solid addition to the genre’s long line.
