CONTEMPORARY AMERICA Another Center/various: In the tradition of the new age and world labels that have come before and have certainly influenced and informed Adventure Music, this is a snappy, first class sampler that shows off a bunch of Latin flavored tracks that all have something on the ball.  A tasty world beat set, loaded with prowess and style that tickles the ear and makes you want to book a flight to somewhere you can get your fill of vacation music on the double.

MC
RICK HOLMSTROM/Late in the Night: A dandy dose of searing, after hours blues guitar that covers everything from Dylan on out.  Laying it down like the roadhouse fan likes it laid down, this is a meaty, tasty set that hits hard and often and makes no concession to fashion.  A solid dose of the real deal from one of the true keepers of the flame.

SHORE FIRE MEDIA
PATTI AUSTIN/Avant Gershwin: You can sweep all of what passes for divas out the door when Austin comes calling.  Checking in with what feels like a late career masterpiece simply lays down the law on a bunch of pop classics turning them into her classics.  Quite simply, if a jazzy lady letting fly with some soul is your bag, this ought to be in your bag.  A winner throughout that sounds as good as she looks.

DVD SUPPLEMENT
SAVIANO MEDIA
BEST OF FLATT & SCRUGGS TV SHOW V. 1/V.2: these two dvds contain four shows from Flatt & Scruggs long running sponsored bluegrass show that didn’t follow any rules and had them as superstars of the back 40 of America.  A precursor to Hee Haw, the bluegrass bad boys had the chance to really tear it up along the way while shilling for flour.  If you are any kind of a bluegrass fan, these cool artifacts from another era are a great look as a pair of American classics that raised the bar.
