CROWS FEET PRODUCTIONS
GONSTERMACHERS: Yeah, we do love those off the wall records and a bunch of older New Yorkers calling them selves the Big Shots that love them some Tom Waits, roots and left field observations is enough to hit the guilty pleasure target with us.  Not a blues record in the traditional sense, and it doesn’t try to be one, these are a bunch of cats out for a good time that know how to give you one as well.  With a more subtle way of genre bending than young bloods have, this wild ride is sure to catch your ear if you’re getting on in years but still can be pinged by some malcontents with something to say that know how to say it.

JAZZ PROMO SERVICES
PABLO ASLAN/Buenos Aires Tango Standards: Proving you can go home again, Aslan returned to Buenos Aires after being away fro 25 years and fell head first into the jazz and tango scene that showed him the pull was much greater than he might have fore thought.  With the only bit of Piazzolla in sight being Danny on drums, Aslan crafts anew jazz/tango fusion for the 21st century that may well find him being the new standard bearer by the time the dust clears.  A super tasty set with the sexy, zesty hallmarks you expect from tango embellished with so much more.  There’s so many ways to enjoy this adult listening date that it’s imply a shame not to.

JUAN CARLOS QUINTERO/Las Cumbias…Las Guitarras: Just because you’re an indy artist doesn’t mean you can’t take a page from the big boys and put out a greatest hits with a few new tracks.  Ace Latin guitarist recaps his career in just that fashion on this new release.  A solid player that has opted for stability with respectable “day jobs” to take away the uncertainty of a player’s life, his recordings do most of the speaking for him.  Anyone that likes fiery acoustic guitar will enjoy his version of freedom of speech.  Solidly tasty collection that highlights a cat with some real chops that are always used to great effect, this set should open the ears of a whole new cadre of fans.
